Confirmation of continued funding of the Residential Advisory Service (RAS) means that more residents will have access to free, impartial advice to help them get their home repaired or rebuilt.

RAS

RAS was launched in May 2013 and is funded by the Earthquake Commission, the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority and members of the Insurance Council of New Zealand.

As well as linking residents with the right people and organisations for their particular concern, RAS also includes a technical panel which can offer a second opinion on existing documentation, helping to provide clarity.

So far, more than 2200 cases have been logged, 1600 of which have been either resolved or successfully progressed.

We encourage customers who are concerned about any aspect of their repair or rebuild process to make use of the free, independent advisory service that is available from RAS.
