Southern Response, the government-owned company settling Canterbury earthquake insurance claims, has confirmed today that it has appointed Anthony Honeybone as Chief Executive for the final stages of its claim settlement programme.

Mr Honeybone has been at Southern Response since January 2015, most recently in the position of General Manager – Claims Settlement.

Southern Response Board Chair Ross Butler said Mr Honeybone had the skills, knowledge and experience to lead the organisation through its final stages.

Mr Honeybone said he was looking forward to leading the Southern Response team through an important stage and ensuring that we work with our remining customers to settle their claims as fairly and quickly as possible.

Mr Honeybone will take up his position on 18 September 2017.

Since its inception in 2012, Southern Response has settled over 88 percent of its 8,232 over cap house claims and 99.9 percent of its more than 21,000 out of scope claims.
